UNION-IP Munich Roundtable
You are invited to join the UNION-IP Winter Roundtable in Munich on February 27, 2026, at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA). We will have two panels analysing Strategic Timing and Late-Filed Submissions at the EPO and Courts, under the title “It’s all about timing”.
The first panel will concentrate on Strategic Timing at the EPO and Courts and feature the following speakers
- Addick Land, Judge at the Unified Patent Court
- Heli Pihlajamaa, Principal Director, European Patent Office
- Kristina Cornish, UK and European Patent Attorney
The second panel will deal with Late-Filed Submissions and feature the following speakers
- Philipp Lanz, Chair of a technical board (Mechanics), Boards of Appeal of the European Patent Office
- Ulrike Voß, Judge at the Unified Patent Court, Munich Section of the Central Division [TBC]
- Bryce Matthewson, UPC Representative and Patent litigator, Partner at Powell Gilbert
Ms. Eva Schewior, President of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, and UNION-IP’s President, Mr. Reinier Wijnstra, will open the session.
